KAF fulfills its mission by raising and stewarding funds to give back to the community. KAF partners with donors to support the causes they care about most through our donor-advised funds. Additionally, through our annual grant cycle, we invest in nonprofits serving under-resourced and underserved individuals and families in the Southern California region, with emphasis on organizations serving the Korean American community.
WHAT WE DO
KAF staff will provide continual personal assistance for your specific grant making and charitable giving needs based on in-depth knowledge of the issues most pertinent to our community.
Grants & Gift Administration
Our staff takes care of all the back-end processing, paperwork, and record-keeping involved in giving grants & gifts, allowing the donor to simply experience the joy of giving.
Stewardship & Transparency
In all that we do, we are dedicated to fiscal responsibility, careful stewardship, transparency, and accountability to earn the trust of our donors and the communities we serve. Accordingly, KAF’s federal tax returns, audited financial statements, and other related documents are made publicly available.
Donors are offered a variety of investment options depending upon individual philanthropic goals and time horizons. Assets are thoughtfully diversified in order to mitigate risk while maximizing resources.
We exercise due diligence with each grant that is made and each organization recommended. Our unique position and close relationship to the communities we serve allow us to connect donors to projects of interest. Based on donor priorities, our staff can assist donors in identifying and vetting grantees to effectively meet donor’s goals.
To demonstrate a commitment to transparency and accountability within the Korean American Foundation, we make our corporate documents readily available to all who are interested. All of the following documents are accessible:
